Gameplay overview 🎮

You switch between two views: a simple 3D floor map for navigation and close-up screens for interaction. Progress comes from collecting items, combining them, and using dialogue choices to unlock new options. Failure states are part of the loop and can open new paths on the next attempt.

How to play 🧭

  • Use the arrow keys in the 3D map to turn and locate floor doors; press Z to enter.
  • On each floor, click objects and dialogue options to investigate, pick up items, and trigger events.
  • Combine items in logical ways to alter later floors.
  • Restarting after a bad outcome preserves knowledge that helps on the next run.
  • Reach the top floor for an interview that checks what you learned.

Tips and hints 💡

  • Visit Floor 6 early: check the drawers for the questionnaire; later you can request a lighter via the no-smoking sign after you find a used cigarette. 🔥
  • On Floor 8, a first encounter with the doppelgangers is a forced failure; after one death, return and push the coworker further to obtain scissors. ✂️
  • With scissors, open the right carcass on Floor 7 to get a screwdriver; use it on the east-wall vent to collect a rat. 🐀
  • Floor 4 hides a bedroom behind you on the map; search quietly for a sleeping pill (noise three times ends the attempt). 💊
  • Combine cake (earned via Floor 6 → phone number puzzle) with the sleeping pill to make drugged cake; feed it on Floor 3 to safely obtain a CD. 📀
  • Put the rat into the hole on Floor 2 to learn the computer passcode (RAISE), then use the CD and code to unlock Floor 9.
  • In the interview, aim for at least four correct answers to get a key and the escape route. 🔑
  • There are many fail states (falls, radiation timer, wrong items in the hole, noise in the bedroom); use them to learn conditions for endings.

What to aim for 🎯

  • Multiple endings exist; a clean pass through Floor 9 leads to escape.
  • Alternative outcomes trigger if you break rules, answer the interview wrongly, or interact with floors in risky ways.
  • Seeing all outcomes requires deliberate experimentation across floors.

Controls and readability 🧩

  • Navigation: Arrow keys in the 3D map; Z to enter a floor.
  • Interaction: Mouse clicks for objects and dialogue.
  • Flow: Short sessions with quick retries encourage testing different routes.

FAQ ❓

How long does one run take?
A single attempt is about a short session. Repeats are faster once you know item locations and floor logic.

How many endings are there, and how do I get them?
There are many distinct endings, including escape, interview failure, and floor-specific outcomes. Explore every floor, try different items in critical spots, and vary interview answers to see them all.
