The player takes on the role of Angelica, a young nun asked to assist at the funeral of her late pastor. During the ceremony, she begins hearing the voice of a being that calls itself Forcas. Claiming to be her angel, this presence pushes her toward unsettling decisions, leaving her to question whether she is guided or deceived.
Your interactions with the congregation and a strange figure held in a cage influence how the story unfolds. With dialogue options and branching choices, the game leads to two different endings, each shaped by Angelica’s faith and doubt.
The experience lasts around 30–40 minutes and was originally created within the tight timeframe of a Korean RPG Maker jam, using a single map as its foundation. Despite its small scope, it delivers atmosphere through narrative tension, dark themes, and disturbing imagery.
At its heart, Eloquent Countenance explores trust, manipulation, and the blurred line between divine guidance and something far more sinister.
